Africwearn was initiated by the 'Seed' in 1997 as a snapshot of African American history captured in a one-page document using the terms Nigga (No Intelligence God Gave Africans), Negro (Never Even Got Rightfully Our 40 acres and a Mule), Colored (Caucasaians Over Looked Our Race Every Day), Black (Brain Learns All Caucasian Knowleddge), 

Africwearn was initiated by the 'Seed' in 1997 as a snapshot of African American history captured in a one-page document using the terms Nigga (No Intelligence God Gave Africans), Negro (Never Even Got Rightfully Our 40 acres and a Mule), Colored (Caucasaians Over Looked Our Race Every Day), Black (Brain Learns All Caucasian Knowleddge), and African-American (A Free Race In Control After Numerous Africans Made Europeans Rich In Control And Nubians never forget our past or we're doomed to repeat it) to tell a perspective using those words to guide you through our history in America from an Africwearn perspetive. A brick and mortar store was founded in 2020 with a vision to create an exceptional shopping and learning experience for our customers. Due to COVID infuluence it closed a year later but since then, we have grown to become a trusted name in the retail industry, offering high-quality products and projects by providing outstanding customer service.

We offer a wide selection of products, including clothing, accessories, home decor, and more. Our products are manufactured by a 3rd party vendor and are carefully selected to ensure that they meet our high standards for quality and affordability. We offer Afrocentric Acs (acronyms) to keep the knowledge of self in tact as more and more B

We offer a wide selection of products, including clothing, accessories, home decor, and more. Our products are manufactured by a 3rd party vendor and are carefully selected to ensure that they meet our high standards for quality and affordability. We offer Afrocentric Acs (acronyms) to keep the knowledge of self in tact as more and more Black History is being erased. Political Acs to stay mindful of the climate and its characters. And, Spiritual Acs to promote good energy that keep vibes and hopes up. These Acs are available on various items and types of clothings. We also offer consulting, speaking, and mentorship for interested individuals, groups, and organizations to share with audiences Africwearn perspectives on how to navigate through this thing called life as your best self.

Africwearn is currently headed and executed by a one-man band in Alvin S. Overton. Alvin is a Project Manager by trade. With experiecne working contractually for reputable companies such as Adidas HQ, Kaiser Permanente, PwC, Trane, Standard Insurance, Mercedes-Daimler Benz, and Portland General Electric. Alvin briefly attended Morehouse C

Africwearn is currently headed and executed by a one-man band in Alvin S. Overton. Alvin is a Project Manager by trade. With experiecne working contractually for reputable companies such as Adidas HQ, Kaiser Permanente, PwC, Trane, Standard Insurance, Mercedes-Daimler Benz, and Portland General Electric. Alvin briefly attended Morehouse College where he developed a passion for his people through talks with William Strong (Abdul), Mukasa, and lengthy sessions of building with other students from all over the country. Other major influences were KRS-ONE, Chuck D, X-Clan, Brand Nubian, Ice Cube, and Poor Righteous Teachers. More personal attributors were Mrs. Harris, 8th grade teacher, Brooklyns own Orlando Butcher (Tantrum), Rev. Earl Kennedy, and Waddell Hill Sr. (dad RIP) and Terry Ellis (mom RIP).
